Often when replacing your Cat converters on your Pre LP Gallardo you will find the factory donuts to be degraded and the factory clamps often crack or break studs. These are very costly to replace OEM and often have to come from overseas leaving you stranded mid way through a job when your cars apart and not able to go back together. Best solution is to buy this kit which includes a new stainless donut/seal and stainless v band with upgraded lock nut. Simpler and proven stronger design rather than the factory set up and much more cost effective. Other issue is if your factory set up leaks, it can introduce exhaust leaks or potentially air into the exhaust before the o2 reading which could give less than ideal air fuel ratios and possibly check engine lights.
